Projects with Manchester Camerata
We are very proud of our partnership with the Manchester Camerata chamber orchestra.
They support us with teacher training and curriculum planning. We work together to deliver some ground breaking musical and dramatic projects linked to different curriculum areas. Some of our pupils access after school learning at Camerata's base in the Royal Northern College of Music.
All classes will work with musicians and composers the Camerata on a variety of class based and bespoke projects.
Manchester Camerata also work on week long projects with whole year groups to produce a piece of music and drama which is performed to other classes and parents. The Horrors of War project takes place every year with Year 6 pupils. Other recent projects include: Vikings with Year 5 and Raging Planet with Year 4 pupils.
A group of pupils worked on a music project with Manchester Camerata, other Heart of Manchester schools and BAM Construction to perform at the 'Topping out' ceremony at No.1 Spinningfields in the city centre: Click here.

Our Year 3 and 4 classes have completed a 2 year 'City of Songs' project with Manchester Camerata and other schools in the Heart of Manchester Partnership. They are working on songwriting and developing music resources to use across school! This resource will soon be available on the Manchester Camerata website.
